New Honorary Secretary for NEF

The National Equine Forum (NEF) has appointed a new Honorary Secretary to help run this prestigious annual event. Debbie Rolmanis provided voluntary social media support at the NEF this year and takes up the reins of Honorary Secretary with immediate effect.

Debbie is a Human and Equine Sports Therapist and Movement Educator. Having run her performance consultancy business in New Zealand for 12 years, she moved back to the UK in 2016 and is now looking after amateur and elite clients in Europe and the UK.

Debbie has ridden and trained with GP dressage riders in Germany, America and the UK and worked as Health Team member for the New Zealand Para Equestrian Team in London 2012 and at WEG 2014. She also undertook the role of Soft Tissue Therapist on behalf of Team GB at London 2012. Debbie is currently writing a book on rider movement and biomechanics, and enjoys photography and travel, with her most recent expedition being trekking to Everest Base Camp in March this year.

Debbie said: “I am delighted to be part of the Team for the National Equine Forum in the role of Honorary Secretary. Having been in the Equestrian Industry for the entirety of my career, I am passionate about facilitating and supporting the delivery of information that is critical to the advancement of the sector as a whole. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this exceptional event.”

The National Equine Forum is an annual event bringing together representatives from all echelons of the equestrian industry, including government, equestrian sport, veterinary science and welfare. It has been running for 27 years. Debbie joins a volunteer committee of 15 individuals representing a broad mix of equestrian knowledge and expertise. The most recent new members are Tullis Matson, founder and managing director of Stallion AI Services and Beth Maloney, founder and managing director of Horses and Courses Ltd and owner of Thurleigh Equestrian Centre.

The 27th National Equine Forum will take place on Thursday 7th March 2019.
